Accept, we pray, O Lord, these offerings we make,
gathered from among your gifts to us,
and may what you grant us to celebrate devoutly here below,
gain for us the prize of eternal redemption.

Have you ever considered offering your spouse to the Lord as an offering? Not as a sacrificial offering, of course, even on those days that we really would like to do so, but as a gift to the Lord. We can offer our spouse to the Lord when we recognize the gift that they are to us given by Him. To offer your spouse to the Lord says “I give you my most precious earthly gift. Take him/her and make of him/her what you want them to be for Your glory. Help me to recognize this unique person and his/her gifts to the world. Help me to never stand in his/her way on the path back to you in Heaven. But help us to walk together on this path.” Amen.
