A Merrier Marriage for Christmas!

Week One - Monday

Do what is right and just.

1st Reading -

Jeremiah 33:14 - 16

Ora / Pray

The days are coming, says the LORD,

when I will fulfill the promise

I made to the house of Israel and Judah.

In those days, in that time,

I will raise up for David a just shoot ;

he shall do what is right and just in the land.

In those days Judah shall be safe

and Jerusalem shall dwell secure;

this is what they shall call her:

“The LORD our justice.”

Labora / Work

The Lord asks us all to “do what is right and just.” Today take a look at your attitude toward your spouse. Are your words and your actions loving and respectful to the person whom you love the most on this earth? We may not even realize that we are being hurtful to our spouse by those things that we say and do and by those things

that we don’t say and do. We must answer to God one day regarding how we behave towards our spouse. Make note of how many times you may hurt your spouse

through your actions and words today and then apologize for each one. It will show

your spouse that you recognize your behavior and for the sake of your marriage and your spouse, plan to do better. It will also let the Lord know that you want to be the

best spouse you can be for the sake of your marriage and because you want to “do

what is right and just.”
